Matchmaking has been
around for centuries and the old lyric, "matchmaker, matchmaker
please make me a match" we have all heard at least a dozen
time in our lives. But, the average person looking for love
is not really equipped to be an objective matchmaker, even
with the best of intentions.
Matchmaking
services now can be a big help if you don't have a kindly
old aunt that knows all the single people in your neighborhood.
Matchmaking services offer a great social tool for
people looking for love who have little time for
random socializing. These days, our fast paced lives do
not always allow us the luxury of casual socializing and
to make new personal connections. The Internet has changes
all that and has created for singles an opportunity
which never existed before. One which suits today's lifestyle
and allows singles the leisure of looking for love
connections in a safe environment, in their own time, anonymously
and without risks.
61% of American
singles will look for love and a date on the internet
this year and most will be looking on the most popular
matchmaking sites which I have previewed for you below.
These have some of the largest databases and many other
perks. It will save you an immense amount of time
to go to these first.
Match Makers Match
Makers - Have you already spent too many hours waiting in
a singles bar for that perfect person to fly in through
the door? Or have you been on a blind date in hopes of finding
a god/goddess, but when you opened the door saw an unsightly
frog?
The problems of wasted time, embarrassing situations, and
personal ads are being solved by the internet’s newest prodigy;
matchmaking sites. These sites are opening doors to perfect
matches. They prove to be cost-effective solutions to the
endless game of hide-and-seek that dating is.
I’ll walk you through an example. James’ friends wanted
him to come to a party that they were having, but knew he
didn’t have a date, so a month beforehand they set him up
on a blind date. He went to pick her up, and after ten minutes
of conversation, he knew that it wasn’t going to work out.
This is a problem you would never have using match makers,
because by the time you meet the person you can have talked
to them as much as you want. After the failed attempt at
a blind date James went to his usual spot, a singles bar
in town. He sat there for a while, looking around every
once and a while to see if the crowd had changed, it hadn’t.
It was the same people that it was every night; he knew
none of these people were right for him. He stayed for half
his usual time and then went back home. You don’t have to
worry about wasting your time sitting on an uncomfortable
chair waiting for the right person to walk through the door
when you use online matchmaking services.
Once James finished reading through the sports section,
he set it down. He noticed the personals section lying out.
He picked it up and started browsing through it. He found
the section “Women Seeking Men,” thumbed through it and
started reading the ads. There was only one problem, he
couldn’t. It was a big jumble of abbreviated words.
Why? Because in personal ads you pay per character so people
try to shorten their ads as much as possible. You’d never
encounter a problem like this using match makers. Can you
imagine how terrible it would be to spend time deciphering
what an ad was trying to say only to reveal that they were
not even close to being the type of person you’re looking
for?
James has just gotten back from his 3rd unsuccessful try,
and well, you’ve read how much time he has wasted! He gets
fed up with it and goes back to his computer. During the
course of browsing the Internet he sees an advertisement
for a match maker. He has vaguely heard of match makers,
but never really heard about real results, just what the
companies tell him.
So, he decides to try it out. He browses through the profiles
of all the other people fed up with the everyday hide-and-seek
of trying to find someone and have decided to use match
making services. He replies to some of the ladies that catch
his eye with their self-descriptions and photographs.
Then to his surprise he gets a reply from one, Jillian.
Jillian describes herself more in depth in the message she
sends to James via the message system of the match maker.
This prompts James to ask her out onto a date. They go to
the waterfront where they split a hot pretzel, and each
gets an ice cream cone, both get mint chocolate chip.
Why did we include all these minor details, you may ask.
Well, they are here to help demonstrate how much more effective
you can be in choosing the perfect person when using match
makers, because in the end its about you finding the right
match.
